Where the Wisconsin Idea Happens

3 people looking at a computerPEOPLE (Precollege Enrichment Opportunity Program for Learning Excellence), operates under the Office of the Vice Provost & Chief Diversity Officer’s Division of Diversity, Equity & Educational Achievement and is based on the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus.

PEOPLE differs from other pre-college programs by working with students, families, teachers and counselors to provide the sustained individual attention critical for being academically, psychologically and culturally prepared to succeed at the college academic level.

Since the inception of the PEOPLE program in 1999, participation has grown from 66 high school students to serving more than 1,300 each year.
