Candid Convos is a series designed to create an open, welcoming space for PEOPLE Scholars to engage in meaningful yet informal conversations about opportunities and topics that can sometimes feel inaccessible or exclusive. Each gathering brings together featured guests, ranging from alumni and current students to staff and community members, to share insights and experiences over a shared meal. Our goal is to center conversations around subjects our scholars are genuinely interested in exploring, while removing the pressure to already “know the right questions” or navigate unspoken expectations. Candid Convos exists to address gatekeeping and make information, networks, and dialogue more accessible, promoting collective learning through the centering of community.
